Many Pakistanis want to visit the Czech Republic and they don’t know how to apply for a visa from Pakistan. Therefore, I’m here to guide you on how to apply for Czech Republic visa in Pakistan in 2023. Let’s get started.

The Czech Republic issues different types of visas to Pakistani visa applicants as well as visa applicants from Afghanistan because the embassy in Islamabad is also accredited to Afghanistan. These days, getting an appointment for a Czech Republic visa is not easy but you can try again and again on the official website of the Czech Republic embassy in Islamabad or simply try again and again on the VFS Global website.
What Documents are Required for Czech Republic Visa in Pakistan?
There is a standard list of documents required for a Schengen visa application. However, each Schengen country has slightly different requirements. However, for a Czech Republic Schengen visa, you will need to gather and prepare the following documents before your appointment date at VFS Global:
- Application duly filled
- The passport is valid for 3 months (the passport must be valid for at least three months from the date of departure from the Schengen area, the passport must have 2 empty pages and the passport must be issued in the last 10 years).
- Copies of all pages of the passport

- Bank statement for the last 6 months
- National tax number (NTN)
- Employment letter
- Salary slips for the last 3 months
- NO objection certificate from the employer
- For retired people; pension documents
- Student card (for students)
- Consent letter from the parent (if a minor is traveling with one parent)
- Business registration documents (for business people)
- Chamber of Commerce certificate (for business people)
- For civil servants NOC from the department
- Travel insurance for the entire stay (minimum coverage 30,000 Euro)
Note: Similar are the documents required for a short-term visa to Slovakia, because the Czech Republic also processes the Schengen visa for the Slovak Republic.
These are basic standard documents for a visit visa to the Czech Republic. If you are applying for other visas such as student visa, work visa, and medical treatment visa then you will need to provide additional documents for the respective visa category. If you are applying for a long-term Czech Republic visa then they will ask you to bring original documents along with photocopies and they’ll only return the original documents.

The Czech Republic visa fee in Pakistan is 80 Euro for adults and 40 Euro for children. This visa fee is related to the standard short-term Schengen visa. Children under 6 years are not charged any visa fee by the embassy because that’s standard for Schengen visas.
How long does it take to get a Czech Republic visa in Pakistan?
The processing time for a Czech Republic visa in Pakistan is 15 calendar days. This is standard time for a Schengen visa. If you are applying for other types of visas then it might take more time. If your application is incomplete then it might also delay your application.
Best Tips for Czech Republic Visa in Pakistan
The Czech Republic is one of the toughest countries for Schengen visas. You need to be very careful when applying for a short-term Schengen visa at the Czech Embassy in Pakistan. They have been rejecting visas without any solid reasons even with complete documents. If this is your first time Schengen visa application then I don’t suggest applying at the Czech Republic embassy in Pakistan. You can try any other member state and then visit the Czech Republic because once you have a Schengen visa then you can visit any country.
However, if you are applying for a long-term visa or your short-term Schengen visa case is very strong and the reason is very solid then you can apply at the Czech Republic embassy in Pakistan and there should not be an issue with your application.
